Yarn Ball Winder Review

(More customer reviews)I have been using this ball winder for a year.The spindle that holds the yarn has broken down, and sometimes flies off the winder while I'm in the middle of winding a ball.Also, you definitely can't wind balls bigger than about 4 - 5 oz of yarn - if you have a bigger skein, you will probably need to go down to your LYS to ask them to help out, or you can wind it up the old fashioned way.All-in-all, it's a decent product for small skeins of yarn, but with bits of it already breaking off, I'm not seeing it worth the price.

(More customer reviews)These do pick up salad, but it's awkward, if they had a curve they would work better. Even if they worked where the "fingers" could fit together, they would be better, I use them, but I wouldn't have bought them, if I'd known how much better they would work if they had a curve. Imagine trying to scoop, say, leaves with your hands without being able to curve them or interlace your fingers...I can't really recommend them. I'm giving them two stars because they will pick up salad, just not well.

Centrifugal Clothes Portable Spin Dryer Review

Please check out the video.Edit 11/13/10: I've been asked how much water this spin dryer extracts. The red Ziploc container I use fills up on a larger load. The container is 32 ounces.
Also, a tip I've found that helps is to close and lock the dryer before it's plugged in. I know it seems like common sense, but I have plugged it in first and then closed and locked, and for some reason it seems to shake more. Also, I've unlocked it before it stops and it seems to shake more. It's a good measure in my opinion, to lock and then plug, and then unplug and then unlock. Some may still have more common sense than me on this issue, but I'm just trying to help the people who have made the mistake as me.Anyway, peace out, and have a good one.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the wiggler to prohibit mosquitoes from multiplying, and it appears to be working.I was told that birds like moving water.The birds come with the wiggler.Midafternoon the bath is filled with birds splashing around. This summer we were topping the bath off 2-3 times.The bath needs to be wide enough (I suggest at least 18") to accommodate birds and wiggler.

The squirrels/racoon have tied to steal the spinner several times.We found the spinner lying on the ground and have to reinsert.Most recently the culprit stole the foam donuts.API was very good about replacing the spinner once at no charge.

However, if you are buying this feeder for entertainment, forget it. What happens is the squirrels will each get on it ONCE! They will proceed to be thrown off and that is it....they will not try it again, because they know the result. If you really are hoping to see more, you might try having the battery alternate in off/on mode so the squirrels will be confused, but I doubt they will come back.

I had another one similar for about 4 years, which is in perfect condition, after enduring 4 years of year around weather, except for some fading of the colors, which was to be expected, being that mine was in about 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. I am my neighbors had enjoyed it so much, I decided to replace it with this one, which was a little bigger. I prefer the bigger sized ones because you can see them better from a distant. It may seem kind of pricey for something to hang on your porch, however, the cheerful "uplifting" feeling that it signals for years of enjoyment is well worth the money.

(More customer reviews)I love the capacity, the allover mesh for thorough draining and handles for off-sink useage; however, there is a lip circling the interior under the handles that annoyingly captures food when the strainer is flipped over to be washed.

So for large items this strainer is fine, but use a regular one for smaller or "flakeable" items that could get caught under the lip like cooked broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, etc

The arms are joined at the ends with a hemp cord, so I don't expect those to last too long but they'd be really easy to replace.

(More customer reviews)I bought this to chop/ mince small amounts of garlic, onions, etc., and it's not very good for the purpose.It's impossible to chop two cloves of garlic because they'll stick to the blades and you spend a lot of time un-stuck-ing them.It's not worth the time and effort to use it.It's good for doing a larger amount of mincing, however.This is a kitchen gadget I can live without.
