(More customer reviews)These are awesome for doing ink blending. I saw a tip on a blog that really helped me in using this. When you get it, take a staple gun and secure the velcro hooks to the wood block. Repeated changing of the pads will eventually pull the velcro off of the block. Also, instead of buying a bunch of handles, buy the refills and use a pad for each ink color. Buy adhesive velcro dots and stick them to the bottom of your inkpad for storing the foam pads. (They fit perfectly in the bottom of Distress ink pads.) Happy stamping and distressing!

The carousel does not come assembled.The screws provided are blunt, not pointed, and it was difficult to get them in the holes (which were covered with a thin layer of plastic.)Once the screws were in, they had a tendancy to simply pull out of the holes if you lifted up on the top of the carousel, so I think they were too small for the job at hand.Once the carousel was filled, it could only be safely lifted from the bottom.The turntable bottom on my unit is different from the one used in the illustrated instructions and it's so low, the bottom rack of containers drags on the table.Overall, it's a great idea, but it's not very sturdy.I may take it apart and reassemble it with thick double sided tape (sadly, I think this would be more stable than the current system).The lids on the soft plastic containers pop on and off, rather than screw on, and it would be easier to find things in them if they were clear, instead of frosted.

West Bend 76220 20 by 10 Inch Griddle Review

(More customer reviews)Our previous non-stick giddle was nearly identical in shape, size, and contruction. (I can't recall the manufacturer -Presto?) The old griddle was die cast aluminum with the "heat tape" pressed into a serpentine channel cast into the underside.
The underside appearance of this new West Bend griddle is the same but the serpentine "heat tape" is fully encapsulated in the aluminum... probably inserted into the die cast tool prior to injection of the aluminum.
I suspect this is why the West Bend griddle has superior heat distribution.
Probably like many dads, I use the griddle for pancakes every Sunday morning. My wife uses it throughout the week. We both agree that to date, this is the best griddle we've owned.

UPDATE: It's now 20 months later and the griddle is wore out. The surface is fine, but the electrical plug/receptacle is no longer usable. The three-fingered contacts on the plug/receptacle are very corroded (I always use the griddle at 375

Easy Dry- Portable Clothes Dryer Review

(More customer reviews)Along with my Wonder Washer and Wonderwash Laundry Mini Countertop Clothes Spin Dryer Portable Clothes Dryer I have a complete portable laundry center. All three items are small and compact for easy storage.

This setup reduces the trips to the laundromat and has paid for itself in no time. Really great to have when boondocking (I have solar and a genset) and are miles from a laundry. I still wash my sheets,and blankets at the laundry. Almost everything else is doable with this setup even my jeans, one bath towel per ld, washcloths,etc,.

For water conservation when boondocking I just wash a light colored load first. After it finishes I place the wet clothes in the spin dryer with the drain hose positioned into Wonder Washer tub so that the wash water can drain back into the washer. I then wash the 2nd load andrun them through the spin dryer. I then fill the Wonder Washer with fresh water and follow the same sequence to rinse both loads. The mini spin dryer is very effective in removing excess water from the laundry and does not stretch items out of shape as hand wringing often does.

After wringing in the spin dryer I place the items on hangers and into the portable clothes dryer that I have set up under my Fantastic Fan vent in the living area so that the humid air can be directed outside. Most things dry in about 15-20 minutes.If the weather is nice I do not put the cover on or use the heat, I instead just airdry. I also have a Whitmor 6023-741 Folding Drying Rack, White that works well for air drying outdoors as well as indoors.

This heating unit can be used as a electricroom heater by setting up the base but do not put the center pole with the drying arms or the cover on. It gently blows out hot air which warms the room. Talk about multi-functional.

The three legs slide easily into slots on the heating unit base. The center pole is in segments and easily goes together with the umbrella style upper pole to hang the clothes on. The dryer cover is heavy nylon with a heavy duty full length zipper. This makes for an easy setup as well as compact storage.

This setup would work well for dorm rooms, small apts, as well as RVS.

(More customer reviews)Bought these for my daughter's first birthday as party favors. Everyone loves pinwheels - my 1 year old, her 7 week old cousin, her 32 year old aunt. They came packaged in a plastic bag and were shipped in an envelope, not a box, so a few were a bit squished :/

Also, I had to assemble them - putting the "head" on the "stick" - which wasn't as easy as you'd think b/c the stick was almost too thick to fit.

Colors aren't as pretty as I would hope.

Overall thought, pinwheels are pinwheels, and they made a fine favor.

Leifheit 55400 Twister Strip Mop with Handled Bucket Review

(More customer reviews)I recently got this Leifheit mop and contrary to the 1-star reviewer I quite like it. I did not find it hard to put together (you screw together the individual parts of the handle and insert the mop part, really not too challenging). I also think the bucket as well as the mop are of regular size. The reason it might seem to be smaller is that it has this insert in the bucket to spin the mop to the desired level of dryness but that's all. The mop is not huge, that is true, but it is of regular size and suitable for normal mopping jobs. If you happen to live in a mansion with a hotel-size entrance hall, you might want to get a different product as that would seem daunting but if you do not, this is not too small in my opinion and sufficient for normal-size kitchens and bathrooms.

I love the spinning/drying action of this product. All you do is soak the mop in the bucket and then put the mop head in the 'centrifuge' or spinner, press down on the handle, and voila, the mop head starts spinning and excess water is removed. I am not quite sure how it works, I am not a technical person (there are no batteries involved, and it seems a bit like a spin top toy), but in the end all I care about is that I do not have to wring this out manually but can just let this mechanism do the job, which gets the mop much drier anyway than I ever could with wringing it. Also, I've had occasional issues with painful thumbs and wrists (from typing), and so this works especially well in these circumstances as I do not have to twist my wrists/thumbs.

The only thing that I miss a bit is an actual bucket handle. The manufacturer states that you should grab the bucket on the inside of the spin insert, but I am just not too sure how well this will work in the long run, especially when the bucket is full and heavy. So far it has worked ok but then again I have not had the mop long enough to know how the plastic would hold up after months or years of doing so. (UPDATE 11/2010: I have now carried the bucket by holding onto the spin insert since buying this 11 months ago and have not had any issues, so I guess it works fine, even without a traditional handle).

All in all, I like its convenience a lot and am thinking of buying another one for my upstairs.
