I was just looking up information on this Brabantia Clothesline, to send to a friend.I was thrilled when I found out Amazon sells them.I then noticed that Amazon has no ratings yet on this product so here I am giving my feedback on just how much "I love this clothesline."Thank You Brabantia for offering such a fabulous item.I have had one of these clotheslines for the past three years, thanks to my mother.It is truly the best. It can be folded down, a cover (sold separately) put over it for storage or during the Winter months.However, I leave mine up, all year, even in the winter andwe have very cold weather and lots of snow here in Central Washington.Even the cold weather doesn't keep me from hanging out, especially my sheets or bedding, in the winter months.I just recently, this is January 2009, hung clothes out on a 57o and 45o day.It is especially nice for my "scatter" rugs.I can leave them out all day, even in winter and they don't get worn out by having to place them in the dryer.It is awesome, so easy to use, spins around and I can just stand in one spot and hang my clothes.It doesn't take much space, is easy to install and easy to keep clean.I had the old fashioned type of clothesline for years, strung the plastic clothesline rope, from one tree to another, in my back yard.However, I was always dealing with birds leaving their mark or my Oak tree dripping from aphids.Now, my Brabantia clothesline, it is set up out in my field, by my garden, not far from my back laundry room porch, away from the trees, and is in an ideal location.My clothes get lots of southern exposure and sunshine.We are a "windy" city (for we do have wind in the part of the country, especially in the spring) and my clothes are dry in just a few hours, or less.I tell you, this clothesline is absolutely wonderful.I would totally recommend this clothesline to anyone interested in the wonderful "old fashioned" manner of drying your clothes outside in the fresh air.The smell of line dried clothes is heavenly to me, one of the best fragrances ever.So to this clothesline I say A+++++, A Perfect "10" for me.I will always be grateful to my "mommy" who is now 82 years old, for getting me this clothesline.

We already wore out our first one and decided to replace it.The first one lasted nearly a decade.

It's such a simple design, but they seem to really love it.The nails are nice and long, so it holds the corn cobs on really well.

Beadalon Spin-n-Bead JR Bead Loader Review

(More customer reviews)This is a very nice bead spinner. It is quiet and with the small bowl you don't need large amounts of beads to get the beads gathered onto your needle.

My only criticism is that the inside of the wooden bowl had some rough spots which interferred with the bead pickup. Fortunately I keep different grades of sandpaper on hand. A couple minutes of hand sanding with a medium and finer grade sandpaper fixed the problem and now the spinner works great. When you buy your spinner see if you can open the package and check the finish of the bowl. Maybe you'll find one that is smooth and won't need sanding.

It would alson be nice if they supplied 2 needles instead of one, so you have a backup.

Yarn Ball Winder Hand-operated YBW-B Review

(More customer reviews)I've recently started "recycling" old sweaters by unraveling them and knitting them into something else. I wound my first center-pull ball by hand, and it took hours. I had been looking at ball winders, and the hand-winding experience convinced me to pay for the little machine that could do it more quickly and neatly than I could. I don't have a yarn swift; I just hold the sweater in one hand and wind the crank with the other, so the unraveling and winding are all done at once. I don't spin my own yarn, so I don't know how this would handle the stresses of constant use. The main moving parts are plastic, after all. But it's held up fine for me so far. In my opinion, it has paid for itself already with the amount of time I've saved.

Pros: Fast, neat, and the finished balls have a nifty diamond pattern when finished.

Cons: It gets loud when you're winding at a decent speed. When used with yarn containing fibers like angora, your workspace ends up layered in fuzz. Invest in a lint roller. The "sturdy table" to which you plan to clamp this can't be much thicker than 1", or the clamp might not be wide enough.

(More customer reviews)i got this after i wore out an earlier spinner.it worked fine mechanically but the greens simply didn't get dry.my two hypotheses are 1) the horizontal slits (previous was vertical) and 2) the rigid plastic (previous was more rubbery).I gave it to Goodwill and replaced it with a Cuisinart which is not so attractive but is more rubbery with vertical slits and works fine.Quite mysterious.

(More customer reviews)I was very disappointed in this product.While it dried the lettuce, it was awkward and difficult to handle.There is no handle to hold onto, so it is difficult to spin without sending it flying across the room.The bowl has drain holes in it so the water gets all over your countertop unless you lay it on a towel or spin it in the sink.About 10 years ago, I purchased a salad spinner for $5, and it is the best.I tried to find something similar and was sadly disappointed in the performance of this product.

I don't remember where I bought it (who keeps receipts for that kind of thing?), so I don't know if I can get it replaced or get my money back. If I can't get it replaced, I'll be buying a cheap plastic one.

(More customer reviews)Arrived in perfect condition, ready to hang. After a few windy days I noticed that the inner spinner was getting stuck between the wings of the larger spinner. Once stuck, it never came unstuck unless I nudged it myself. We've had a windy spring and this became a real nuisance. Finally I tried pulling the top and bottom of the larger spinner to make it narrower and I think I overdid it because it hardly spun after that even in a brisk wind. Since then I have partly pushed it back and the inner spinner hasn't gotten stuck, but neither are spinning as well as they did originally. I really like the look of it and its well made, but satisfaction-wise I'm at best half way there. Now while I am writing this review, i notice on the review web page there is an image of the spinner and I must say that it definitely looks slimmer than the item I received, so perhaps I am/was on the right track giving it a stretch from top to bottom.
Next thing I tried was adjusting the size of the inner spinner by squeezing it top to bottom so it became slightly wider. That did the trick. Its been fine for a year and hasnt gotten stuck once.

(More customer reviews)I had high expectations for this salad spinner, but it fails in 3 areas.First, it is nearly impossible to get the spinner to go fast enough to get the water off of the lettuce!That defeats the original purpose of this device.Second, it's rather small - you must wash and spin the "average" head of lettuce in halves.Third, although the outer shell is all stainless steel, the handle and the internal basket are just inexpensive plastic, just like any other spinner.The handle in my new unit has popped off a few times.I don't expect this spinner to last more than a year or two.I would avoid this item.

(More customer reviews)I originally bought this to cut cheesecake in a non-stick springform pan. It surprised me at how well it cut the cheesecake slices - just like a traditional sharp knife but without damaging the non-stick surface.

So now I use it whenever I need to cut anything in ANY of my non-stick pans, cookie sheets, whatever. This knife is amazingly great and quite useful. No worries with cutting anything in a non-stick pan since it won't cut into the non-stick surface.

BTW, I haven't tried cutting lettuce with it.
