(More customer reviews)I have used this spinner, but I don't own one.It works very well.I deducted one star for the price.That's a lot of lettuce.You pull the cord sharply, the spinner spins and the cord retracts.Pull again,the spinner spins in the opposite direction, and the cord retracts, and so on.It changes direction with each pull of the cord.It does require two hands---one for the cord-pull operation,and the other to hold the machine in place,but it's not difficult.However,if you do not pull sharply on the cord, it will not retract back into the lid, making it necessary to rewind manually by removing the lid and turning the spin housing.Not a huge inconvenience,and after you get the hang of the thing,it's seldom a problem again.
