(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a cage for my two rats that had a large version of this wheel in it. I had to rush one of my pet rats to the vet yesterday afternoon, after hours, because as she was running it the wheel, her tail became caught in the metal where the wheel attaches to the frame. Needless to say, she is missing two toes, about an inch of her tail and her face is is completely traumatized on one side after trying to free her tail. We were not home when this happened.
I would not recommend this product for use for rats, or any animal with a long tail. It is not safe!!!
