(More customer reviews)I was very excited to receive this bowl and couldn't wait to put it to use. The bowl is very large size, you can't really tell from the product picture. It is a good size salad bowl. The chopper looks like a double pizza cutter. It works very well. The bowl is large enough to fix a good size salad and still have enough room to work with without spilling over.

You just fill the bowl with salad ingredients. I put in a whole gallon bag of lettuce, whole boiled eggs, slices of cheese and onions. Then proceeded to roll the chopper around the bowl. Depending on how long you chop, it will chop the ingredients pretty small. I thought that it was too much. I thought it wouldn't make an appetizing salad. Boy, was I wrong. It was delicious and easy to eat. I took the leftover salad this morning and filled a pita pocket with it. Perfect. I'm going to fix my salad with this everytime.

And just a hint from me, if you don't think you like your lettuce cut up that much, just put the other ingredients in the bowl first, chop away, and then add the lettuce last and chop a few more times.

(More customer reviews)I usually steer away from things like this, but this is one gizmo I am GLAD I BOUGHT! I like it so much I am considering buying another one in case this one craps out on me! I never want to be without one! It is very noisy, but I don't care, it's worth going through some noise to make potato peeling SO MUCH easier and faster! I have a family of 8 in this house, and I peel a lot of potatoes. Now I can have a 5 pound bag peeled and in the pot in 10 to 15 minutes, compared to peeling manually for over a half hour with a paring knife or veggie peeler. I still have to cut out the deeper pits but I do that while some are in the peeler. Now I don't even dread the 30+ pounds of potatoes I have to peel and mash at Thanksgiving...heck, I am actually looking forward to it!

(More customer reviews)Overall a decent enough flagpole came with the adapter's for the grommet type flag's and can be used with the sleeved or banner type flag's upper part of pole spins to keep from tangling only problem's were the silver ball on top was a cheap plastic that was all scratched up and starting to peel( maybe some chrome silver spray paint will fix this)and the thing is Made in China which I guess only Valley Forge's U.S. flag's are U.S.A. made and nothing else in their lineup.

(More customer reviews)Well, about two weeks ago Amazon ran the Green one on sale for $13; it's now back to being $22, which is a ripoff.I don't like it for these reasons:

1.It's cheap looking.It looks way better in the picture, which there was when I bought this item.(It's no surprise that there is no longer a picture posted by Amazon as of September 6.)When you see it in person, you know you wouldn't pay more than $5 for it, if that.Actually, I have found prettier things in the dollar stores.In its defense, the metal is fairly solid, although follow the instructions (on an inch and a half square piece of paper that you could easily overlook) and bend it carefully and as directed because you could break it.

2.Yes, it says it's green, but again, I relied on Amazon's picture, which shows some blue and yellow along with the green.Mine has absolutely no yellow and hardly any blue.It is very green, which means it doesn't look that great on a tree branch for a decoration, which is what I had in mind.The so-called psychedelic pattern is not attractive either because it's a trite looking print; it almost would have been better a solid green.

Please don't even consider giving this as a gift to any serious gardener; get them something else.

Droll Yankees YF Flipper Bird Feeder Review

(More customer reviews)I have been battling the squirrels with limited success for years. Either the feeders didn't stop the squirrels at all or they were so dang ugly I didn't want them in my yard. The squirrels even ate a few of the "squirrel proof" feeder I tried.
I'm pretty cheap, but the Droll Yankee Co. seems to have a good reputation so I wasn't too reluctant to part with the bucks for this feeder. My first impression was that it is a lot larger than I expected and seemed to be sturdier than most feeders.
I plugged it in and let it charge overnight (it charges like a power screwdriver), filled it with black-oil sunflower and hung it in my favorite bird feeder tree the next morning. My Carolina-chickadees and Cardinals were feeding within thirty minutes, Mr.Squirrel made his first attempt after about an hour. There is really no way I can describe what followed. Let's just say I have some really freaked out squirrels around my house.
I have had the feeder up for over a month, the squirrels have been forced to feed from the spilled seed on the ground and the feeder is still operating from the original charge.
This feeder is is worth every penny and then some. I wish I could give it more than five stars.

(More customer reviews)We're using the 12 inch version. The wheel wobbles a bit and had to be both screwed into the cage wall AND needed the stand underneath to keep it reasonable stable.. And it still wobbles. There's nothing "whisper quiet" about it, its pretty loud, not as bad as metal wheels, but pretty close. It's also very difficult to detach for cleaning. The only good thing about it is how much my little hedgie loves it.. All night long, on that loud wheel.

(More customer reviews)We laughed and laughed when we received this "as seen on TV" slicing and, well, grating "miracle product" as a gift. Who would actually use such a crazy thing?Well, it turns out that we would, frequently. It may not dice, but it does slice beautifully - thin and uniform, as well as grating everything from cheese to potatoes to carrots to ... you name it. We use it almost daily. If you're a vegetable eater or a cheese lover, you won't know how you lived without it. Easy to assemble and disassemble, and it's dishwasher safe, although you do have to position the parts correctly to maximize water flow and cleaning. You can do a fine or a coarse grate, a straight or a wavy slice. You can even get an ice shaver for making snow cones. It does have some limitations. While it grates all kinds of cheeses (softer cheeses work best when chilled), it can't slice cheese at all. Nor does it slice onions, celery or other "stringy" vegetables well. It will grate them, though. It slices cucumbers, carrots, summer squash and similar vegetables beautifully, but the chute is too narrow to slice most cukes or zukes whole -- you'll have to split them lengthwise.

It took a couple of weeks but I email BSI and they did make good on sending the endcap.
